Wiedoeft™ Ultra-Grip Bass Rosin

Wiedoeft™ Ultra-Grip Grade Bass Rosin is our softer formulation, offering increased tack and grip compared to our year-round All-Season Bass Rosin. It provides the bassist with exceptionally even bow adherence, long-lasting grip, remarkably low powdering, and a rich, powerful tone that enhances both the bow and the instrument.

The Ultra-Grip Grade has earned a reputation as an outstanding cold-climate rosin and is often affectionately referred to as the ideal choice for “Wagner-style” playing, where maximum traction and powerful orchestral projection are essential.

Like every Wiedoeft™ Rosin, Ultra-Grip Grade Bass Rosin is produced under the strictest quality control standards. Each cake is custom hand-poured and individually packaged only after completing a carefully controlled curing period that is essential to achieving the performance characteristics expected from every Wiedoeft™ rosin.

Formulation

As with the entire Wiedoeft™ family of rosins, Ultra-Grip Grade Bass Rosin is formulated with proprietary wetting agents that greatly extend its longevity and shelf life. Unlike many traditional rosins, it resists drying, crystallization, and loss of performance over time.

Unlike many softer bass rosins that become unstable in warmer temperatures, Wiedoeft™ Ultra-Grip Grade is formulated with specialized stabilizing components that help maintain its integrity even in warmer climates. Combined with our patented-pending silicone packaging, this advanced formulation keeps the rosin stable, protected, and ready for consistent performance wherever you play.

Packaging

Our patent-pending square silicone container was specifically designed with string players in mind. The flexible roll-down design provides easy access to the rosin while offering superior protection during transport and storage. The silicone enclosure helps guard against damage and minimizes the effects of temperature changes, while the fitted silicone cap further preserves the rosin’s freshness when not in use.

During playing, the natural friction generated between the bow hair and the strings gently regenerates the rosin’s gripping characteristics. As a result, Wiedoeft™ Rosins require only minimal application, allowing players to use less rosin while reducing wear on bow hair.
